For lawyers
Your practice in one place. And work that arrives prepared.
Matters, clients, a diary, meetings that write themselves down, research that shows its sources and your own clause library. Free to join, free to run. You are paid for the work you take.
Verified by hand, one bar number at a time. No subscription, ever.
What you get on the day you join
All of it. There is no tier above this one holding something back.
Matters and clients
Every file under one reference, with its documents, its diary and its history. Clients who have never heard of Dehaun sit beside the ones who found you here.
Meetings that write themselves down
Video in the browser, captions as you speak, and a transcript afterwards that says who said what. Nobody takes a note in a consultation again.
Research that shows its sources
An answer you can check, because it tells you what it read. Nothing asserted without somewhere to look it up.
Your own clause library
The clauses you trust, kept and reused, instead of opening last year's agreement to find the paragraph you liked.
A diary that knows the deadlines
Filing dates, renewals and obligations pulled off the documents themselves, not typed in twice.
Invoices and what you are owed
Bill a client, see what has been paid and what has not. Your own fees, separate from anything Dehaun handles.
Work that arrives prepared
The client answered the questions before you saw the file. You open a matter with the facts already in it, not a stranger's email saying they need something urgently.
Your fee, named by you
Take the set price, or quote for the job. The client sees your name, your years at the Bar and what you say you would do, then chooses.
What it costs, what it pays
One fee for the practice. The AI you pay for by the use.
The practice sits on one flat fee. The AI is bought separately, by the use, so a quiet month costs you less than a busy one.
On the practice fee
- Joining, and being verified
- Matters, clients and the whole file history
- Your diary, deadlines and reminders
- Invoices and what you are owed
- Seeing and taking marketplace work
- Keeping your clause library
The fee is being finalised, and nothing is charged today.
Paid by the use
- NGN 60
A research question
Reads the sources and cites them back
- NGN 40
Draft assistance
A suggestion on the passage you are writing, which you accept, edit or throw away
A busy month, say forty research questions and twenty passes of drafting help, comes to roughly NGN 3,200. One completed review pays for six months of it.
What a review pays
A straightforward one
NGN 25,000
NGN 40,000 where it is more involved, NGN 75,000 where it is genuinely complex. A floor, not a ceiling: quote higher for work that deserves it.
You receive
NGN 20,000
Paid to your own account once the review is delivered. Dehaun keeps 20%, and 15% on anything a fee runs past NGN 50,000, so the big work is worth keeping here.
Held until you deliver
All of it
The fee is taken before the work starts, so nobody is chasing a client afterwards.
Apply with your bar number
A person checks it, which takes a few working days. Nothing reaches a client until it has been checked, which is the same reason clients trust the lawyer they are sent to.
Payments are not switched on yet, so nothing is charged today.
FAQ
What you would want to ask first.
Does Dehaun compete with me?
It takes the work you were never going to be paid for. Most people who end up here were going to use a free template off the internet or sign nothing at all. Dehaun turns that person into somebody who has a draft in front of them and a reason to have a lawyer read it, and then sends them to you.
Am I responsible for a document the AI assembled?
Only for what you review. A draft nobody has read carries a plain notice saying so, and the client sees it. Once you approve it, your name is on that approval, which is exactly as it should be, and you can request changes instead of approving anything you would not sign off yourself.
What stops a client refusing to pay?
The fee is taken before the work starts and held, not paid to you until you deliver. If the client disputes what came back, a person at Dehaun decides, with their name against the decision and the whole thing visible afterwards. You are never chasing an invoice for marketplace work.
Can I set my own fees?
Yes. Take the set price when you want the work quickly, or quote your own when a client asks for quotes. There is a floor so nobody is pushed under a scale they are professionally bound by, and deliberately no ceiling.
Is there a rating system?
No, and not for a while. A star rating built from a handful of reviews is a guess wearing a number, and one unfair early review could end somebody's work here. Clients see your name, how long you have been at the Bar, and what you say you would do.
What happens to my client data?
It is yours. Encrypted in transit and at rest, access checked on the server on every request, and every read, change and signature written to an audit log. Clients you bring yourself are not visible to Dehaun's marketplace or to anyone else.
